Dear Busy, Frustrated Woman,

I've been there too.

Let me fill you in on some painful history. I can identify my struggle with weight and food after certain specific events in my life…after the birth of each of my children, When my marriage began to fail, after my divorce, and when my business was effected by the downfall of the economy. Each of these events sent me on a crazy rollercoaster ride of bingeing and over-eating to controlled self-deprivation. From the compulsively inhaling of a family-size bag of potato chips or gulping down an entire apple pie to rejecting my natural hunger through restriction. I spent years witnessing a cruel and self-abusive part of myself on the loose.

When I turned forty I began to look at my family of origin and I watched how each of them also began to gain weight and I resigned to believing that I was destined to be large because it’s in my genes.  It was my way of hiding my true feelings.

Fact is, every time I would look at myself in the mirror, I would speak to myself with cruel words, commenting, "you look disgusting." I feared that the rest of my life would be a gradual prison sentence of weight gain, food issues, and an onslaught of health problems to boot.

Even as an intelligent and accomplished woman in my forties, I truly felt that I was not worthy of the patience, time and money I thought it would cost to eat good food and take care of myself. After years of feeling like this, and countless desperate failed attempts at portion control, restriction and punishing exercise, I was determined to figure out a real solution. I wanted more balance in my life, and to stop my obsession with food. I wanted to feel good – really good. I wanted to finally have freedom from emotional eating.


Fortunately, I encountered teachings that changed my life.

What I eventually learned is that healing my relationship with food was not ONE thing -- it was EVERYTHING!

Over time, I learned how to take out the deprivation and add in fun, ease, and pleasure, and I learned how to support others in doing the same. The fact is all the answers are inside of us, like it was for me. It is just a matter of tuning into our bodies and tapping into our female intuition to lead the way. I have found that our health goals can be achieved with respect and appreciation, not self-deprivation.

These feminine strategies for weight loss start with the recognition that we women already have all the answers we need for our weight loss journey, right within our bodies. The answers are just obscured by misguided programming we've picked up along the way.

You see most weight loss methods disconnect us from our body wisdom, and instruct us to "dominate the body into submission" with strict rules and guidelines--an approach I call the "dominatrix strategies for weight loss."

Yet the sad statistics speak for themselves: over 95% of women who attempt to lose weight through these strategies, find that it provides at best a temporary fix, with any weight lost being gained back within a year or two, or that in the worst case scenario these so-called weight loss techniques actually backfire altogether causing them to gain weight instead!

So after all my years of searching for a solution for my weight loss struggles, you can imagine how relieved and happy I was to find a solution that didn't resemble anything close to a restrictive diet.

Overcoming my struggles with food feels like liberation. By overcoming my weight problems, I felt more empowered to make my mark on the world. I experienced a paradigm shift at the core and my authentic self was able to come out.  As a result I was able to approach each day with confidence and enthusiasm, which is a very attractive thing.

The method of weight loss I guide you through involves...

• No prepackaged "space meals"
• No forbidden foods
• No portion control
