Savory Tips to Foil the Holiday Hangover + FREE GIFT

Cauliflower mash image.jpgEat Only What You Can Savor
We certainly love a juicy holiday meal don't we?  And, Guess what?  We have another whole month of Holiday foods and desserts to experience, so enjoy your meals but eat only what you can savor.  No need to eat everything on the table...twice.

Follow Your Bliss
As the saying goes, you just can't please everyone, so stop trying to please everyone.  It's stressful to try to attend every single holiday dinner party that you've been invited to.  If indulging in too many holiday meals is not your idea of bliss then you can lovingly decline as many invitations as necessary to keep your blissful boundaries.  There are no hard fast rules that say you must spend every holiday with extended family.  You're even allowed to enjoy some alone time during the holidays if that's what will help you feel the joy in the season.

Lighten Up
A great way to lighten up some of those holiday dishes is to make a few lateral shifts.  Cauliflower Mash wth garlic, chicken stock, sea salt, pepper, nutritional yeast and olive oil is a beautiful alternative to mashed potatoes, especially if your holiday meal is feeling a bit heavy in the starch department.

Bring the Healthy Option. If you bring the healthy option then you’ll know there’s at least one thing t at the table that will provide you with something truly nutritious.

Keep the Rhythm
One of the biggest mistakes I see women make when they overindulge, is starving themselves the next day to "make up for all those calories." Your body needs a rhythm it can count on. This is biology 101, folks. When you deprive the body of calories, metabolism slows down. The body stores fat and loses muscle. NOT conducive to weight loss. Enjoy your holiday meal sensibly and then, simply return to your regular eating rhythm. Your body will drop any excess weight it picked up in 3 to 5 days. Seriously, try it. It's so much smarter than doing the same thing over and over again (over eat, under eat, over eat, under eat), expecting different results.
